Throughout this immersive week, you will experience a blend of the best of Sorrento, Positano, Capri, and Amalfi—four unforgettable days in Sorrento followed by three beautiful nights in Positano, exploring the coast’s food, wine, culture, and breathtaking scenery.

Our group experience will begin in Sorrento, where we will be staying at a beautiful luxury waterfront hotel with sweeping views of Mt. Vesuvius. From this incredible home base, we’ll wander the historic streets, enjoy a hands-on pizza-making class, and spend an afternoon in Pompeii with a local guide who brings the ancient ruins to life. We’ll also head out by boat to Capri—an unforgettable day on the water, with cliffside views, hidden coves, and plenty of time to soak in the island’s chic piazzas. It’s the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.

Mid-week, we settle into Positano, where our gorgeous top-rated hotel is just steps from the beach and in the heart of the town’s boutiques, cafés, and seaside promenade. From here, we’ll explore Positano’s winding alleyways, visit nearby gem-like villages along the coast, and enjoy a wine and olive oil tasting in a spectacular setting that captures everything people love about this iconic destination. Evenings are relaxed and joyful—good meals, great conversations, and plenty of time to take in the atmosphere.

Maya works closely with her sister, Kathy, who has lived in Italy for over 30 years, giving their trips an insider feel that guests instantly appreciate. Kathy has called Tuscany home for more than 30 years, and she brings her deep love and knowledge of Italy to every Dovetail Travel experience. She has spent decades building relationships with chefs, winemakers, guides, and artisans—connections that make guests feel like they’re being welcomed by old friends wherever they go. Thoughtful, enthusiastic, and endlessly resourceful, Kathy has a way of opening doors to the Italy most travelers never get to see. With her on the ground in Italy and Maya hosting from the States, guests get the perfect balance of insider access, local expertise, and warm hospitality. Benvenuti! Your adventure begins in Naples.

We will meet in a central location in the heart of Naples at 12:30 pm to enjoy a welcome lunch together before departing with our drivers for Sorrento, one of the beautiful coastal towns of Southern Italy, where cliffs, colorful villages, and centuries of history set the stage for an unforgettable journey.

We will check into our beautiful waterfront hotel in the heart of town and you will have a bit of time to settle in.

The group will meet in the late afternoon to go for a stroll in the center to discover the charming streets lined with cafes and boutiques.

We'll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant featuring the typical specialties of the area.

Sorrento and Pizza-Making Class

Enjoy an easy morning at your leisure in Sorrento.

We will meet at the hotel in the late afternoon to walk to our pizza-making class, where we'll learn the art of making Neapolitan pizza and enjoy our meal.

Day in Capri - with private boat tour

In the morning, we will depart from Sorrento with the ferry to reach the world-famous island of Capri.

Once we arrive, we'll meet our skipper for a 3-hour private boat tour to view the iconic island from the sea, where turquoise waters and dramatic cliffs create an unforgettable backdrop.

Afterward, we will have the rest of the day to explore Capri at our leisure before taking the ferry back to Sorrento in the late afternoon.

We will enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Lemon Farm Cooking Class

We will visit a family-run lemon farm and greenhouse, where the region's famous golden fruit has been cultivated for centuries.

During our hands-on Cooking Class, we'll learn the family's recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. We'll prepare typical dishes, including homemade pasta, that represent the culinary traditions of Sorrento, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

At the end of the lesson, we'll sit down at the table, surrounded by beautiful greenery, to enjoy the lunch we prepared, accompanied by local wine.

Transfer to Positano with a Guided Tour of Pompeii

We will begin our journey to the stunning Amalfi Coast with a private transfer to Positano, making a memorable stop to explore the ancient ruins of Pompeii.

With our expert private guide, step back in time as we walk the remarkably preserved streets of this once-thriving Roman city, frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.

Marvel at the intricate mosaics, grand villas, and historic forums while learning about the daily life, art, and culture of this fascinating archaeological site.

After the tour, we'll go to a nearby winery at the foot of Mt Vesuvius to enjoy lunch and a tasting.

Then we'll continue along the scenic coastal drive, where breathtaking views of the Mediterranean lead us to picturesque Positano, our home for the next part of our journey.

We'll check into our seafront hotel and have free time to settle in and explore Positano at leisure.

Amalfi Coast Boat Tour and Ravello

We will set off in the morning with our private boat to discover the beauty of the Amalfi Coast from the sea!

This quintessential experience will allow you to soak in the breathtaking views of the colorful cliffside villages, hidden coves, and dramatic rock formations that define this iconic stretch of the Mediterranean.

We will arrive in Amalfi and take a leisurely stroll through the famous town.

Then we will meet our driver to take a private car service up to Ravello, one of the coast's most picturesque gems. Perched high in the hills, this elegant resort town is home to two stunning cliffside gardens, Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, where we will experience the spectacular views and splendid scenery of these historic estates. We will end our visit in the beautiful Main Piazza to enjoy an apertivo at one of the open-air cafes before heading back to Positano with our driver.

We will have time to freshen up before meeting for dinner.

Positano

Enjoy the morning in Positano at your leisure. Discover the charming shops and winding roads that make this one of the Amalfi Coast's most loved towns.

In the afternoon, we will meet to enjoy a wine and e.v. olive oil tasting with a sommelier.

Our farewell dinner will be at a well-known local restaurant.

Departure Day - transfer to Naples Airport

Check out of the hotel is by 11:00 am.

We will do our best to arrange the group car service departure time to Naples Airport according to the majority of guests' flights.

If your flight times do not fit with the group transfer, we are happy to assist you with arranging your own private car service to the airport.
